Sotech recently worked with Nivan Architects and Indbuild Limited to provide our Optima TFC Rainscreen system for the £6.5million MC6 project, which involved the construction of a new Sixth Form College for Middlesbrough College at Teesside.
Sotech worked in partnership with Nivan architects during specification, providing over 2000sqm of Optima TFC Rainscreen system for the new development. The specification allowed for all of the benefits of using aluminium composite material, such as extreme flatness and strength, as well as saving time and money on site due to the simplicity of the TFC system.
The specification selected Reynobond ACM material finished in three distinctive colours including Ruby Red and Anthracite Grey, using the hues of the Middlesbrough flag to add a striking new silhouette to the campus.
One of the many positives of the MC6 project was the opportunity to work with a local architect in the North East, contributing to a landmark development that will have a significant positive impact on the further and higher education of thousands of people in the local community.

All Sotech Optima Rainscreen Systems have been independently tested to meet CWCT rigorous specification for rainscreen cladding.
