Sotech provided Optima Shingles in Anodised Aluminium for the UK’s first open innovative bioscience campus, pioneering an unique culture to drive early stage biotech, pharma and medtech developments.
Sotech was commissioned to design and manufacture over 8000 of the bespoke diamond shaped aluminium rainscreen cladding shingles which have been installed on the facades of two adjoining office buildings and in excess of 2000 sqm of Optima IPC has been used to create a dramatic feature on the striking, energy efficient high specification buildings.
The shingles provide a traditional approach to metal cladding that can be provided in a completely bespoke format and can be fully supported on backing boards or fixed to top hats for maximum design fluidity.
Suitable for all wall constructions, the shingles also have a limitless range of sizes and material options. The system is fully and beneficially recyclable, as well as not supporting combustion.
