Skelhorne Street, now known as Horizon Heights, has been nominated winner of the RICS Social Impact Awards for the North West region for student accommodation recently.
Positioned by Liverpool Lime Street train station, the £55m new-build student accommodation comprises of 1,085 bedrooms across two tower blocks of 21 and 19 storeys. The units are a mixture of cluster and studio flats with communal areas and ground floor retail space.
4500m2 of Optima FC, TFC, IPC & Feature Fabrications in Aluminium Axalta PPC was used in the completion of the project.
The project has been also awarded BREEAM Excellent rating for its sustainable building design, development and management and is shortlisted for ‘Best Tall Building Awards’ in the ‘Best Tall Building Architect’.
