Sotech to hire a Salvagnini Operator for its North East Peterlee site

Job Summary:

In the role of a Salvagnini operator you will primarily be responsible for operating an automated sheet metal processing system that is comprised of a cnc punching and forming machines, FMS  (flexible manufacturing system)

You will be working in a fast paced factory production environment with production targets.

Most tasks require good hand/eye coordination with an understanding of cnc and pc controls.

Inspecting parts using various measurement tools by reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.

The position is full time and available to start immediately.

Key skills:

• Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
• Ability to use or learn how to use measuring equipment such as dial callipers, protractors and tape measures.
• Basic knowledge of machine controls and programs and pc systems.

Relevant Work Experience:

One year of experience with the set-up and operation of computer controlled punching, cutting, forming machines, or similar.
