Perforated feature rainscreen cladding panels applied to large flat elevations can add both detail and relief.
The state-of-the-art Silverstone University Technical College, a brand new centre of excellence designed by HKS Architects and due to open this year faces the legendary motor racing circuit and will specialise in high performance engineering and business and technical events management.
Installed by Metclad, the Sotech perforated panels fixed on opposing elevations as 4 metre wide vertical feature bands, have been manufactured from 2mm thick post polyester powder coated aluminium punched with 9mm diameter holes providing a 24% free area.
The panels create a striking and contrasting addition to the elevational treatment for this unique, multi-million pound facility sponsored by Silverstone Circuits, Tresham College and the University of Northampton.
