The Optima Perforated Screen provides a solution for enclosing spaces such as car parks, plant rooms and feature cladding. This can be created from Optima TFC, FC or flat plate overclad Rainscreen.

No Build-up of Metal Thickness

Whilst being the most economical rainscreen solution, requiring discreet fixings in the vertical panel recess, the engineering of the system retains the benefits of a drained and ventilated façade. Superior manufacturing techniques ensure there will be no build-up of metal thicknesses at the cruciform joint.

The stunning new £60 million first direct Arena in the northern quarter of Leeds operated by SMG Europe, features Sotech’s back-lit perforated panels which light up the Leeds skyline with a kaleidoscope of ever-changing colours, producing a dazzling honeycombed external façade on what is believed to be the first ‘fan shaped’ arena in the UK.

Sotech achieved an economical and integrated solution for over 400 square metres of aluminium feature producing the 9mm perforations with the use of a sophisticated cluster tool enabling a number of holes to be punched simultaneously across a wide and complex variation of shapes and sizes.

Benefits

Cluster tools are used to provide an economic solution, a series of standard patterns are available which show the visual appearance plus percentage fee air.

Perforations are a bespoke solution which is an additional feature of our existing rainscreen systems, refer to features and benefits from the Optima Rainscreen Range.

Perforations are introduced to the panel system when there is a requirement for air flow or daylight into an enclosure such as car parks, plant rooms etc.

There is an opportunity to create a great variety of bespoke perforated patterns that are possible with the use of standard or specialised tooling.

Suitable for all types of wall constructions either new build or refurbishment. 

 

A fully adjustable system.

 

Varying lengths of hands free brackets together with angles and tee profiles allows adjustability in all planes to line and level cladding zones from 110mm above insulation thickness to a maximum of 320mm.

 

Panels have polyethylene anti rattle clips attached to the back retaining flange, these connect with the hooks on the substructure.

 

Ventilation zone behind panels often has to exceed CWCT minimum requirements to accommodate structural rails.

 

Consult Sotech regarding structural restrictions, and constraints relating to panel size, fastener type frequency of fixings.

Substructure for Rainscreen fitted to Sips or Insulated Panels

 

Easy installation, refer to installation guide for wall type build up. 

 

Panels can be fixed to a simple Eco FC Carrier of minimum 38mm depth to create ventilation with a cladding zone as shallow as 90mm.

 

System allows ventilation zone to be minimum stipulated by CWCT.

 

Panels have polyethylene anti rattle clips attached to the back retaining flange, these connect with the hooks on the substructure.
