Working closely with installers Metclad Contracts to help develop an arrangement which was both cost efficient and give the appearance the architect envisaged, our Optima TFC Through Fix Cassette Rainscreen was provided for the residential scheme.
Due to the large panel size and superior flatness the Optima TFC Rainscreen panels were produced in 4mm Reynobond ACM. The soffit and fascia element was supplied in 2mm fine textured ppc aluminium to replicate the original specified product which was GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete).
The apartments in the Green Point development were designed to create a practical, comfortable and relaxed environment, with the living spaces flowing seamlessly into each other. Ideally located for access to the capital, this is set to be a very attractive new residential destination.
This development is also a pioneering project with regards to building techniques and sustainability – the contractors employed MMC (Modern Methods of Construction) in the form of modular unit techniques, using units that are constructed off-site in factory conditions. This enabled Mar City Homes to deliver a smarter and greener residential solution than they could have if they had used traditional building techniques.
