We are thrilled to announce that over 3000sqm of Sotech Optima IPC rainscreen cladding is to be used in the development of Bournemouth Gateway Building.
Finished in anodised regency gold, natural and bronze, the rainscreen cladding will be a prominent part of the building, situated on the St Paul’s site – next to the St Paul’s roundabout on the Wessex Way. This is a key location on the main route into Bournemouth. At five to seven stories high, it will provide a strong visual gateway to the Lansdowne Campus and a landmark entrance to the town.
The building, which will accommodate the institute’s Faculty of Health & Social Sciences (HSS) will deliver a unified base for the Faculty education, research and office activities and will provide 10,000 square metres of space for the Faculty and the wider BU population.
Special thanks to TAC Projects for choosing Sotech to deliver on this project, which is being overseen by Kier Construction with architectural firm Atkins. The project is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating. Be sure to subscribe to the Sotech monthly mailer to be updated as the project develops.
