We recently manufactured over 1300m2 of our Optima TFC Through Fix Cassette rainscreen cladding for the brand new luxury student development, the Foundry in Newcastle.
Working with Faulkner Brown Architects, installers Indbuild and main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine, we provided 1150m2 of Optima TFC Rainscreen cladding in 3mm Aluminium in two shades of green, with a PPC fine textured finish and PPC Ral: 9007. 2mm Reynolux in Pre-Coat RAL 9007 3% Gloss was used on the high level cladding of the building. These green and grey shades were combined across all external walls giving a fantastic visual effect.
Our Optima Through Fix Cassette rainscreen cladding is both economical and extremely versatile, and the substructure of the system allows for accurate and speedy installation, making it a great choice for this residential project.
PPC was the ideal finish option for the panels; not only does it have benefits including colour retention, greater durability, improved corrosion resistance and being environmentally friendly, but it’s superior range of colours and textures allowed the architect’s design intent to be fully realised.
Close to both Newcastle and Northumbria University, this new destination for North East students provides space from studios to 8 bedroom apartments, all tailored and fully equipped to students’ needs.
Sotech has invested heavily in sophisticated design and manufacturing technology.
