The new development is located on a landmark site in Nottingham city centre, standing the grounds of the former Odeon Cinema. This attractive, modern accommodation complex has given the site a facelift.
Working closely with ESL Group and Formroom Architects, Sotech provided 2000sqm of Reynobond ACM cassette rainscreen panels with a specially formulated finish to match a champagne metallic paint chosen by the architect and fixed directly to a structural insulated panel.
ESL Group referred Formroom Architects to Sotech because of our extensive experience and expertise in producing rainscreen cladding for large-scale developments. Sotech then worked closely with ESL to ensure that the cassette panel deliveries were phased due to specific logistical challenges related to the site. Land-locked on three sides of the structure, the substantial planning that occurred prior to deliveries helped to ensure the project’s success.
Sotech are committed and have invested substantially in product authenticity by independent testing and certification.
The Optima TFC Rainscreen has undergone independent testing at Taylor Woodrow Technology Centre, Leyton Buzzard and CWCT witnessed and certificated as well as extensive in house testing.
The training facility and showroom at Sotech are open to specifiers and contractors, where all of our Optima Rainscreen Systems are on display alongside the widest selection of materials and finishes, including pre and post coat aluminium, ACM, copper, zinc, stainless steel, digital print and andoised.
