Sotech have been named as a North East Medium Employer of the year finalist at the National Apprenticeship Awards 2015.
The National Apprenticeship Awards recognise the achievements of extraordinary apprentices and the businesses that employ them, and Sotech are extremely proud to have been shortlisted for this award.
We are a long-running supporter of apprenticeship programmes, and have been taking on apprentices for the past 29 years. With a number of existing senior managers in the business having started as apprentices and progressed through the company, we are dedicated to providing valuable and exciting career paths to our apprentices and to growing and developing our own talent from within.
The companies unique methods of recruiting, training, mentoring and upskilling apprentices into advanced positions over time was acknowledged by one of the providers that run Sotech’s apprenticeship schemes, which resulted in them initially putting us forward for the awards.
Speaking of Sotech’s ongoing collaboration with apprentices, company Founder John Egginton has said that ‘this business has been built on apprenticeships and will continue to do so in the future.’
The awards are part of a government initiative, ran by the National Apprenticeship service, and have now been running for 12 years.
We will be attending a ceremony on Thursday 15th October in Newcastle to celebrate the achievements of ourselves and other finalists and to find out if we are the winners of our category!
