Sotech is delighted to announce that work has begun on Queen Margaret Academy in Ayr, South Ayrshire. 1500sqm of Optima IPC (in Precoat Aluminium Copper Patina) will be installed on the new building.
The new state-of-the-art school, which will be completed in October 2019, is a new and modern inclusive community facility which will provide an excellent resource for sport, leisure and lifelong learning to the local area.
The new school will be modern and innovative in its design and flexible in its operation, in order to meet the needs of all future learners as the curriculum evolves. With a current school roll of around 550 pupils, the new development will be designed for a capacity of 800 pupils and will ensure that all students have access to positive learning environments and state-of-the-art facilities.
When the school opens in 2019, the old building will then be demolished and the site fully landscaped.
