The 3400 m2 EnergyResearchBuilding in Leeds is an extension to the existing engineering complex. It houses 170 staff and students from the Faculty of Engineering. The overall project was valued at £7.9 million.
The original brick structure has been externally clad with 120mm of insulation – the Sotech Optima IPC Interlocking Pressed Plank Rainscreen – and finished in PVF2 to protect the building against the elements.
The systems is low maintenance system with very long life.
