Travelodge has opened for business in Hull’s busy city centre, part of its rollout of similar facilities nationwide, and provides a welcome boost to the city’s bed spaces!
Following numerous meetings with Architects Harris Partnership Sotech converted several hundred square meters of Reynobond ACM into their flexi Rainscreen system in contrasting black blue and silver pvdf finishes. In order to accommodate the small amount of blue panels Sotech arranged for a proportion of the black panels to be coated with a blue reverse thus avoiding minimum charges and keeping the scheme within budget!
The clean crisp lines of the flexi system,very capably installed by NG Developments Ltd, an accredited Sotech installer,gave the building a modern striking appearance complementing the City’s streetscape and underpinning the growing reputation of the Travelodge brand.
Whilst Travelodge usually leave the facades to individual developers this particular project could well serve as a blueprint for future Travelodge facilities.
