Working with Horbury Building Systems, architect Church Lukas and the University Partnership Programme, one of Sotech’s most recent case studies is Byron House, a £60 million student accommodation development for Nottingham Trent University
Sotech provided over 1000sqm of Optima TFC through fix cassette rainscreen panels for Block D of the Byron Residence student accommodation. The panels were provided in Reynobond ACM with a Silver Metallic Finish.
ACM offers the rainscreen a unique flatness, which creates a smooth surface as well as having exceptional load-bearing capacity and flexural strength. Lightweight and durable, ACM cladding ensures a consistent, long-lasting colour.
In addition, Sotech were asked to supply our TFC Rainscreen in PPC telemagenta (RAL 4010) for the window reveals, resulting in a striking aesthetic for the accommodation block.
Sotech are committed and have invested substantially in product authenticity by independent testing and certification.
The Optima TFC Rainscreen has undergone independent testing at Taylor Woodrow Technology Centre, Leyton Buzzard and CWCT witnessed and certificated as well as extensive in house testing.
The training facility and showroom at Sotech are open to specifiers and contractors, where all of our Optima Rainscreen Systems are on display alongside the widest selection of materials and finishes, including pre and post coat aluminium, ACM, copper, zinc, stainless steel, digital print and anodised.
