SOTECH LTD – COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the unprecedented event in recent weeks and the announcement from the Prime Minister earlier this week, the situation with respect to the Covid-19 is continuing to evolve at pace.
Like other companies, our foremost concern is the health and safety of our people. We have had a close eye on Government, Public Health England and industry updates to ensure our actions are aligned with the guidance possible, adapting new practice daily.
Despite our efforts, this week has seen a great amount of construction sites, suppliers and supply chain members closing raising issues of general safety to working and supply issues. Whilst we have taken steps to continue production, these are proving not to be enough and reluctantly taken the decision to cease production operations.
As of 2:30pm today, we will suspend all production and deliveries from our Peterlee sites until further notice.
Our incredibly helpful and supportive staff are still working from home to provide critical Technical Services and Customer Services support as well as estimating operations.
Stay safe and we will come out of this together.
