Leading rainscreen cladding manufacturer Sotech invites architects across the country to join their team and a panel of faCade industry experts at a jam packed half day event in the Building Centre in London on 4th November 2021.

Focused on safety in the façade industry, Sotech has gathered a panel of experts to deliver keynote talks on the safe specification of rainscreen cladding, and will be unveiling two new products along with a first look at never been seen before virtual reality technology.

Using virtual reality technology architects will be able to explore Optima Rainscreen Systems, speed up decision making and save on time and resources for real time 3D and VR experience.  It’s never been done before and the system is incredible. We’re excited to see people’s reactions!”

During the day, attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a live presentation of Sotech’s brand new Riba approved CPD: “How to safely specify rainscreen cladding”.

Simran Thiara, Regional Specification Manager at Sotech said: “This CPD has been hugely popular so far. Covering the latest Safety Regulations and the key findings of the Hackitt Report, attendees can expect to learn a lot more about testing and certification requirements in the UK, along with design considerations for the safe specification of rainscreen cladding in the UK.”

Nick Jenkins, the Technical Manager at International Fire Consultants, will also be presenting on “How to get things right – second time around”. Nick, an experienced cladding industry professional with 22 years of experience, will take attendees through the journey of a remediation project.

Nick said: “The talk will cover the intricacies involved in delivering a successful remediation including, planning, problem-solving and practical know-how while facing challenges such as weatherproofing, structural integrity and insulation needs.  I’m also keen to talk about what the future likely holds for facades.”

Beyond the live talks, Sotech will be showcasing it’s brand-new extrusion product, Optima XTR Contour, tailored to meet an architect’s unique vision. And Optima Edge – a new secret fix rainscreen system which is the only one of its kind available in the UK, passing the latest 2020 fire testing standards (tested to BS8414-2;2020 and gained BR135 classification).
