Job Title: Estimator

Job Description:

We are a leading manufacturer of rainscreen façade systems and cladding with over 30 years of experience in the industry, and we’re looking for an experienced estimator to join our team. The role will be primarily located in Peterlee, County Durham, but some travel may also be required.

The job will involve the following duties:

• Attending pre- and post-tender client meetings
• Reporting to the department manager
• Compiling timely estimates for prospective projects
• Dealing promptly with project technical enquiries
• Scheduling estimating/drawing take off
• Liaising with various other departments in the business including purchasing, manufacturing and design, as well as department managers

Experience Required:

Previous estimation experience is essential for this role, including:

• At least two years of experience in an estimating environment, ideally related to cladding, rainscreen systems, curtain walling, glazing and building facades
• Sound IT knowledge, including AutoCad and other forms of estimating software
• The ability to read and understand tender documentation, specifications, drawing and terms & conditions
• Producing profitable tenders/quotations from architect’s drawings and specifications
• Working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• A proactive and committed attitude at all time
