1400m2 of Optima IPC in A1 rated 2mm Pre-Coat Aluminium Copper Patina has been used in the completion of Queen Margaret Academy in Aye.
The new £25 million building, which can accommodate up to 800 young people, is part of a £94 million programme of works delivered across South Ayrshire with the aim of boosting education standards through targeted investment in schools and communities.
Kier Construction has overseen the project, which was delivered by South Ayrshire Council in partnership with hub South West.
“Following on from the successful Ayr Academy project, which featured the same architect, main contractor and installer using the Sotech Rainscreen system, Queen Margaret Academy showcases yet another top quality façade”, said Jamie Brown of Sotech, “and proves how collaboration between the full supply chain, ensures the clients expectations are met.”
