Darlington Business Growth Hub, a new multi million pound facility in the heart of Darlington, has been completed using 350sqm of Optima perforated panels.
Working with Indbuild and PNHS Architects, we provided a rainscreen solution that delivered the necessary requirements whilst adhering to the project constraints.
This included adjusting the perforation pattern to use one of our existing high-tech cluster tools, which reduced the time and cost of punching the perforated panels dramatically. The panels were manufactured in 2mm Aluminium and finished in PPC RAL colour 1036, to give a striking bronze appearance.
Part of Darlington’s new Central Park Enterprise Zone, the Business Growth Hub is able to house up to 64 new and small businesses, offering office space and practical support, and is thought to have created dozens of new jobs in the town.
The training facility and showroom at Sotech are open to specifiers and contractors, where all of our Optima Rainscreen Systems are on display alongside the widest selection of materials and finishes, including pre and post coat aluminium, ACM, copper, zinc, stainless steel, digital print and anodised.
There is an opportunity to create a great variety of bespoke perforated patterns that are possible with the use of standard or specialized tooling.
