Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) is one of the most popular choices from the range of rainscreen cladding materials that we supply, with benefits including enhanced durability and strength, recyclability, and a huge variety of attractive finishes.
We’re dedicated to manufacturing our rainscreen cladding systems with the highest quality of materials, which is why we only work with the best suppliers of ACM to bring your project to life. Here, we find out more about our trusted ACM suppliers:
Alucobond
One of the brands from 3A Composites GmbH, a global leader in architecture, Alucobond have been developing, manufacturing and marketing high quality aluminium composite panels for over 40 years.
Sustainability is one of Alucobond key priorities. Focusing on effective, continuous environmental protection and preserving natural resources in order to ‘ensure a liveable tomorrow for future generations’, Alucobond environmental practises often go above and beyond that of government regulation. At Sotech, we are also focused on improving our sustainability at every opportunity in the supply chain, and working with a company such as Alucobond helps us to achieve this.
We have been working with Alucobond for a long time on a range of exciting rainscreen cladding projects.
One of our most recent projects which uses Alucobond ACM is the BskyB Believe in Better Building, at Sky’s headquarters in London. We used 2500sqm of sunrise silver metallic Alucobond ACM with our Optima FC rainscreen cladding system in lengths of up to 5.2 metres for this inspiring new build, a length far above the industry average. These extraordinary Alucobond panels compliment the hanging glass on the main façade of the building, giving a fantastic clean finish.

Reynobond
Reynobond (and Reynolux) are part of Alcoa Architectural Products, a world leader in aluminium which produces and distributes composite panels in 44 countries across the globe.
Reynobond’s values focus on integrity, respect, innovation, excellence and the environment, and these are shown by the quality they provide in their products and services. With a company tagline of ‘advancing each generation’, they have worked ‘to create innovative and sustainable solutions that move the world forward’ since 1988.
Sotech have used Reynobond ACM panels on a range of projects in varying sectors in recent years. One is the new student accommodation building on the former Odeon cinema site in Nottingham; working to a design by Formroom Architects, we provided 2000sqm of cassette rainscreen panels from Reynobond in a champagne metallic paint that was specially formulated to match the architect’s requirements.
Another of our recent Reynobond projects is Middlesbrough College’s new sixth form, a £6.5 million investment that uses over 2000sqm of Reynobond ACM in three colours, including Ruby Red and Anthracite Grey.

Larson
Larson composite panels are created by a company called Alucoil, which designs and manufactures advanced materials for building, transport and industry applications. The Larson panels are just one in a range of composite panels from Alucoil, and they are fully tested and certified, top quality wall cladding panels that provide strength and flexibility.
The Larson composite panels are produced by two metal sheets of aluminium and are especially recommended for ventilated facades on new constructions as well as renovations.
We’ve used composite panels from Larson on case studies including First Street, Riverside Heights and the Sky Health & Fitness building.
Using 1000sqm of bespoke Larson ACM rainscreen cladding in an anodic brushed high gloss finish, the main façade of the Sky Health & Fitness building project gives a sawtooth effect through alternating glass and aluminium panels, with the finish on the ACM giving it a reflective, glass-like appearance.
We’re extremely proud of the relationships we’ve built with our suppliers, and continue to work closely with them to provide our clients with the ideal rainscreen cladding solution for their project.
The training facility and showroom at Sotech is open to specifiers and contractors, where all of our Optima Rainscreen Systems are on display alongside the widest selection of materials and finishes, including pre and post coat aluminium, ACM, Copper, Zinc, Stainless Steel and Anodised.
Sotech has invested heavily in sophisticated design and manufacturing technology.
