Sotech stands for Socio-Technical Systems. It’s a simple idea — that the best results come from people and technology working together.
Great façades aren’t just about products. They’re about the way a project is designed, developed and delivered as a whole.
We’ve been doing that for over 40 years — designing and manufacturing metal façade systems that perform in the real world, not just on paper. Today, our work can be seen across the UK and Ireland, as well as in projects further afield in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Our Optima range of façade systems has been developed to offer flexible, tested solutions across a wide range of applications — with each system designed to meet the practical demands of modern construction.
We’re known for being thorough, straightforward, and easy to work with. Our customers come back to us because we focus on the detail, give honest advice, and deliver what we say we will.

Delivering Details at Scale
Facade cladding should be considered as a complete system rather than a collection of individual products. Panels, brackets, rails, insulation, cavity barriers and fixings all work together, and the performance of the facade is defined by how those elements are designed, tested and installed as a whole, across complex schemes. It is the very definition of ‘Details at Scale’.

Dedicated to safety, sustainability and excellence, Sotech are committed to continually improving, testing and enhancing their façade cladding solutions.
Having tested since 2006, Sotech has always put a huge focus on fire safety in the rainscreen cladding industry. Today, the Optima range is available in A1 and A2 materials such as PPC Aluminium, Anodised Aluminium, Pre-Paint Aluminium, ACM A2, Alpolic A1, Copper, Corten Steel, Stainless Steel and Zinc. Sotech can provide true A1 non-combustible façade cladding systems complete with mechanical fixings in place of adhesive.
All systems carry full CWCT certification and the Optima FC+, TFC+ and Edge have been tested to BS8414-2 standards, BR135 classification. Sotech is also accredited to ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001 and we are aiming to achieve The Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment 2030 through our supply chain. At Sotech we are always seeking improvements to protect our environmental and natural resources. This is why we are working towards achieving a verified EPD, not just for ‘components’ but for our full rainscreen systems.

But for us, it goes beyond that. Quality is about taking responsibility for what we produce and how it performs — which is why we’re trusted as safe hands in the industry.
Working together
No two projects are the same, and the best outcomes come from working closely with the people involved.
We collaborate with architects, contractors and consultants from an early stage, combining practical experience with digital tools like 3D modelling and BIM. It helps us make sure what’s being designed can actually be built — efficiently, safely and without unnecessary complication.

Our manufacturing approach is focused on precision, efficiency and continuous improvement. We look at how things are made from the outset, so projects run more smoothly and deliver what they’re supposed to on site.

Looking ahead
We’re conscious of the role we play in the wider built environment, and we’re working to reduce our impact wherever we can.
That includes improving how we design and manufacture, using resources more efficiently, and increasing transparency through things like full system EPDs. We’ve also set a clear path towards net zero by 2035.
