Dear customer, supplier and extended stakeholders,
Further to our announcement last Friday regarding our suspension of all physical manufacturing at our facilities in County Durham, I wish to give you an update as to our position in relation to the Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic.
We continue to monitor developments and it has not escaped our attention that construction has been highlighted by the Government as a sector that is crucial to the economy of the UK.
Although we have this week seen some construction sites close, after temporary suspension of works, others have re-opened.
Nonetheless, like most other companies in our sector, we remain committed to prioritising the safeguarding of our work colleagues in line with Government guidelines and safe working practices.
Where possible Sotech staff are continuing to work from home and remain contactable in most key support roles.
Our Marketing, Sales and Estimating teams are fully functional at home working on your current and future project requirements. This continues to be a key area of support and comfort for many of our wider stakeholders and business partners. We continue to pre-order, plan and sequence materials and finishing works with our closely knit supply chain. This has not stopped since the factory closure.
Our Design teams are also working from home, planning, coordinating and preparing the work schedules for when our shop floor colleagues return to work.
Our finance team is available to address any questions and queries you may have in relation to payments both to and from Sotech.
