Over 1200/m2 of Alucobond Silver Metallic 500 and 900/m2 of Aluminium Anodised in united anodisers Regency Gold 1 have been used in the completion of White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds.
With its unique flatness, Alucobond (in Silver Metallic 500) was the perfect choice for the large panelling on the sizeable building. Its design creates a smooth monolithic surface with exceptional load-bearing capacity and strength. The smooth finish can be seen in the project photos and video.
Alucobond ACM was used in conjunction with Aluminium Anodised (in Uited Anodisers Regency Gold 1) as textures and patterns can be easily be incorporated in the anodic film, enhancing the natural metallic appearance without affecting the total UV resistance of the rainscreen cladding. As you can see in the project photos, perforation was added to the face of the anodised units as the cavity behind had L.E.D lighting to illuminate the facade. The finish looks spectacular, especially when lit up in the evening.
The silver metallic and anodised gold colours combine perfectly to give a quality and visually appealing finish to the leisure and entertainment aspect of the shopping centre, which houses an 11-screen Cineworld IMAX cinema, six new restaurants and an outdoor live events space.
