As part of a £25m development scheme at Citygrove’s Westgate development in Aldershot town centre, Sotech is proud to have provided Optimate FC Secret Fix Rainscreen and Flashings in an anodized Bronze (541 and 547) finish to the Cineworld Cinemas.
The wider scheme, which was fully funded by Legal & General, comprised a 78,000 sq ft Morrisons foodstore & PFS, the 8 screen Cineworld, a 91 bed Travelodge and a series of restaurants grouped around a new landscaped central piazza.
Specified in a visually impactful anodized Bronze, the Optima FC Rainscreen was selected for this project due to the panel secret fixed system and its versatile nature. Precise coordination between panel and substructure has allowed for the cosmetically flat and pristine appearance, and wrap around features without the use of visible fixings. Sotech also designed and manufactured the feature flashings to complete the look and protect the joints and cut edges.
Westgate is the largest mixed-use development that Aldershot has seen in many decades, and it is hoped that Westgate will form a keystone for future regeneration within the area.
